The new Rado silver-toned ceramic watches are called Centrix. They have versions for both men and women. At first sight, you make mistake that they are made from stainless steel and comes with special polished finishing. The Centrix watch continue the Minimalist style that Rado is famous for and thus very easy to read. New Rado Ceramica Watch with LCD Display

Rado Ceramica collection has been enriched by a brand new Ceramica Digital Automatic watch. This all black watch in ceramic, with a subtle touch of 1800s, has all lovely elements you may want from Rado watches. And the digital angularity makes it more contemporary and attractive.

The Rado Ceramica Digital Automatic watch houses an ETA-made movement which is same as the Seiko Kinetic style movement applied on the new Hamilton Pulsar watch for 2010. This movement, not like the movement used on original Pulsar, features a LCD digital display rather than LED display and has an automatic rotor at the rear which can charge the quartz movement.It is not surprising that brands at Swatch Group shares parts and movements. In fact their movements are from the same place.Back to the point, this new Rado Ceramic actually houses the movement far better than the new Hamilton Pulsar.

This watch , available soon, sports a negative LCD(not LED) display that has no backlight.And personally, I love the shining black color of the black ceramic which is also famous for its excellent durability. Besides, the square look is very attractive for me. Overall, this watch is quite simple yet modern. It should be a nice choice for those who love high-quality digital watches.

By far, Rado has not yet revealed the price tag and technical specifications for Rado Ceramica Digital Automatic watch. But I believe this watch will be a mid-priced member in Rado family. Review of Rado R5.5 Automatic Watch

The pictured is the new Rado watch that will come out soon. It was designed by Jasper Morrison whose designs has contributed what Rado is today. It is said that he has given this brand the latest watch designs that continue his iconic modenist and minimalist. No one can deny that Rado watches are relevant and unique in the watch market nowadays. I am a huge fan of Rado watches as well. I really appreciate their great contribution to the trend of ceramic watches.

It is know to all that most Rado watches are powered by Swiss quartz movements. But this new Rado watch is different. In its black ceramic case there beats an Swiss ETA automatic 2829A2 movement. Via the window of the titanium case back, you can admire the nicely decorated movement. Some some black PVD coated steel is also applied in the watch construction.

The dial comes in a sleek TV screen shape and is highly legible.For me, it represents a the brand’s unique understanding and interpretation of diver watches. And I love the nice contrast between the black face and the SuperLuminova luminant hour markers-it just makes the dial so pleasant and very easy to read. The simple yet bold hands complete the dial with clear time reading.Jasper obviously does well in design simple-style watches.

The Rado r5.5 automatic has bracelet mixed titanium with ceramic. It applies matte finish rather than shiny finish that most ceramic watches adopt to case and the bracelet. Personally, I love ceramic watches as they are highly resistant to scratches and wear.

The price for the Rado r5.5 automatic watch is likely to be several thousand dollars.

Rado is set to launch the brand new R5.5 line soon. The brand has not officially explain what “R5.5.means”, so I can not share that with. Actually, I am very curious about the name as well.Meanwhile, Rado has not unveiled the dimension of the new R5.5 watches, so I can not share that with either. Just be patient, every thing will be unveiled soon. Let us enjoy the exterior beauty of the R5.5 line firstly.

Well, the R5.5 line applies sports new style of minimalism and continues the ceramic beauty that the brand is so famous for. Though I can not read too much minimalism style on the dial, I am really impressed by the beauty of the square shaped case. Completely done in Ceramic, it looks like a TV screen as first sight, and it feels naturally smooth and graceful. The bracelet, also done in ceramic, seamlessly connects with the case thanks to the solid lug structure. The dial, protected by a sapphire crystal, features refined sunburst finish. The hands and indexes in golden or plain steel tone.

The man behind the R5.5 line is the famous artist Jasper Morrison who takes charges of all the designs. And the R5.5 has chronograph and three hand models, all of which are powered by Swiss quartz movement.
