It seems that world-famous automobile brands love to have their logo applied on watches to represent their image. For example, Bentley chooses Breitling, Ferrari coperrates with Panerai, and Bugatti works with Parmigiani. Except the brand logo that always appears on the dial and/or case back, other related elements, for example dinstinctive colors, may also be adopted on watch design to showcase the brand’s unique feature and style.
Recently, Abarth, an influential automaker famous for making vehicles of modest prices but excellent qualities, collaborated with Bernard Richards Manufacturer that gains their name in in motor racing circles for their inspiration from automobiles, and launched the BRM V12-T-44 Abarth Chronograph in a limited edition of just 49 pieces. And this Abarth special edition is just available in BRM”s official website, which makes it far more exclusive than any vehicles made by Abarth.
The watch is quite handsome looking with clear racing theme. Aside from the chrome hands and red stitching on the Nomex strap, the V12-T-44 chronograph features the characteristic Abarth scorpion engaved on the a black crown and white numbering with the BRM and Abarth logos on the black dial. I also love the yellow hands on the subdials.
The case, sized at 44mm, is done in black titanium. Beating inside is an ETA Valjoux 7753 automatic Swiss movement. The chrono function is operated through the pusher buttons at 2 and 4 o’clock.
The retail price for each V12-T-44 chronograph is $7,300. And each piece is individual numberd at the case back and comes with 3 year warranty.
