Now news comes that this famed movement is going to server the brand’s highly-recognized watch line – the Navitimer – The brand is about to release the Breitling Navitimer 01 Limited Edition Watch that houses this in house movement.    Unquestionably the No.1 watch line from Breiting. The Navitimer has a history of over 50 years and represent the essence of the brand’s professional pilot watches. I think it is safe to say it was the Navitimer that made the side rule bezel world famous. But to my knowledge, just around 10 people have actually used the slide rule function since it was introduced to and used on The Navitimer.

In fact, expect being powered by the the Caliber 01 movement which has been COSC Chronometer certified, the Breitling Navitimer 01 watch is basically same as other models in Navitimer family. Breitling Superocean Heritage 2010 Collection

If you ask me what are my favorite retro style diver watches, I will answer without any any hesitations- Breitling Superocean Heritage watches. The new watch offerings in the collection this year come with an array of different color schemes for the dial and the bezel. Both the new basic Superocean Heritage watches and the new Superocean Heritage Chronograph models display the color tricks. If my memory serves me correct, it was the limited edition Superocean Heritage bi-compax Chronograph (an experimental limited edition launched last year) that started this trend.

Here I present some of these Breitling Superocean Heritage watches. The basic Superocean pictured here toggle my soul with its beautiful black dial and fresh rotating diver’s bezel in green bezel. The chronograph model that has blue dial and black bezel looks great as well. If the two model could not satisfy you, there are other options available. Personally, I think these new watches with beautiful colors greatly enrich the standard Superocean Heritage collection.

On the market, the large (46mm at diameter) Superocean Heritage watches are the most well- received, though Breiting also provides a smaller model featuring a small seconds subdial. The Opus 3, a legendary piece in that collection, is a finest example since no body have ever seen one working- at least till the very recent days. Christmas is around the corner. But for people who have long-anticipated getting one of the 50 pieces Opus 3. Christmas comes very late. The biggest problem was that the mechanism contains lots of discs required huge amount of power to work- sometimes they even needed to work at the same time. That was a big big challenge for watches used mainspring. Renaud & Papi took the challenge by adding extra barrel that was responsible for turning those discs. When winding the watch, both barrels get energy. But the extra barrel only delivers power when the discs need to move.There are three columns of numerals in the movement. And they are read from the top down. The middle column with red numerals tells the date. The left column tells the hours , while the right column displays the minutes.

The Happy Winston Opus 3 should have been sold out. As far as I know, Customers who paid deposits for it did not get refund, but were offered promise that the watch would come out. Harry Winston is a brand of their words, the 50 pieces (25 gold and 25 platinum) will be delivered soon. We will see what feedback the customers will give to the watch.

The Cartier Caliber One collection becomes a huge success and is highly sought after in the market, and the Cartier ID One concept watch unveiled earlier this year amazes the whole world. However, Cartier does not stop-it follows up the victory and launches the Cartier Rotonde Grande Complication Skeleton (Ref W1580017) instead. This limited edition (just 30 pieces ) Grande Complication further consolidates the good image Cartier established and maintained in high-end watch making these years.

The gorgeous Cartier watch, sized at 43.mm and 16.25mm thick, is crafted from precious platinum. With simple yet classic profile, the case is meticulously finished and reflects an elegant touch. Review of Breitling Blackbird Red Strike

Following the release of the Code Yellow Avenger, Breitling watches recently launched another limited edition watch – the Blackbird Red Strike. As the name suggests, this new Breitling watch sports a dash of red tones on its black dial. And it has the same dimensions and features of the standard Blackbird.

The case of the Breitling Blackbird Red Strike, crafted from stainless steel,  is either highly polished or brushed from head to toe. It is fitted with a rotating bezel with 360° graduated scale and the “Blackbird special” faceted pilot bracelet. The front sapphire crystal, the well-constructed crown and pusher buttons , and the solid case back together ensure that the watch is water resistant to 300 meters.

As mentioned, the matte black dial is spiced up by bright red hints on some hands and markings. The date is also displayed by red Arabic numerals. Overall, I love this black and red contrast- It looks spectacular. The hour and minute hands and hour markers are filled with luminous substance to ensure ideal reading in darkness. Except three subsidiary dials, the dial also include a tachometer scale on the inner bezel.

Beating inside the Breitling Blackbird Red Strike watch is the Caliber 4 –an in-house made automatic chronograph  movement that has been certified by COSC. And faithful to the brand’s standards, the watch is limited to 2,000 pieces.

Personally, I find no flaws or hates from this extraordinary watch. I love its classic design ,the awesome color scheme and the sporty feel. It is surely a must-have watch for any loyal Breiting watch enthusiasts.
